Middlesex County: roofing & exterior work.

Middlesex County sits in the middle of the state, and most of its housing went up in the decades right after the war. Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and Piscataway are full of colonials, capes and split-levels from that period, which means a great many masonry chimneys built in the same stretch of years are now reaching the age where the mortar joints have opened and the clay flue liners behind them have cracked. Landstar rebuilt one of them in Metuchen in September 2026, taking the chimney down three courses below the roofline and building back up from a new reinforced base. New Brunswick and Highland Park hold older stock still, closer to the river, where original brickwork and the freeze-thaw cycle have been working against each other for a century.
