SCOPE OF WORK

What we did.

For this Clifton project, Landstar completed a full tear-off and installed a new roof system over approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of roofing. The crew installed new plywood over the existing planks, followed by ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, drip edge, starter shingles, and GAF HDZ Charcoal shingles throughout. The chimney was also rebuilt from the attic floor upward — demolition, new brick, new chimney flues, cement work, chimney cap installation, step flashing, and counter flashing.

WHY IT MATTERS

Why it matters.

A roof replacement is only as strong as the system underneath the shingles. On this project, Landstar did not simply install new shingles over old conditions — the team completed a full tear-off, reinforced the roof deck with new plywood, installed protective underlayment, and finished with a complete GAF HDZ Charcoal shingle system. The chimney rebuild was handled as part of the same exterior protection system; proper masonry, flashing, and cap details protect one of the most leak-prone areas of the roof.
